Digital Evidence Review Unit Partnership

An Immediate-Start Digital-Evidence Readiness Pathway for Public Defender Offices

DERU—the Digital Evidence Review Unit—is the Digital Innocence Initiative’s public defender office partnership pathway.

Who May Join?

DERU partnership is intended for verified public defender offices and agencies, including federal, state, local, appellate, and post-conviction defender organizations.

Enrollment should be submitted or approved by an authorized office representative. The office may identify appropriate attorneys, investigators and support staff for access to partnership resources.

Individual defense professionals who are not enrolling a public defender office should use the Digital Evidence Toolbox registration pathway.
